FAQs
(Or Questions That May Not Be Frequently Asked but You Will Get an Answer for Anyway)
Is this campaign a scam, prank, or stunt?
No. This is a genuine search campaign. I am offering monetary compensation of $450 to the owner of the exact wallpapers I’m searching for if they are willing to sell them back to me. The reward divides into $50 per roll (I’m looking for nine rolls of wallpaper (descriptions and photos on the main page)). This is also not a traffic-driving scheme because I do not utilize ads on my website. Please read the Terms of Service and Privacy Policy for details.
I’m not sure if my vintage wallpapers are what you are looking for. Can I contact you anyway?
Yes, so long as your request is a serious one. You can send me a serious offer and not be entirely sure if your wallpapers match the ones I’m looking for. That is okay! I only disregard scam or harassment emails. For confirmation or proof that you have the wallpapers I’m searching for, I please request that you send a clear photo of your wallpapers to my email address with the current date (in MM/DD/YYYY format) written or typed on a piece of paper visible in the photo alongside the wallpapers you have (i.e., the photo should have a high enough resolution to where the wallpaper patterns can be identified, be zoomed out enough so the entire wallpaper rolls are visible, and have the current date on a piece of paper). JPEG, PNG, or any common file format is acceptable. You can sent multiple photos of the wallpapers to my email, but please make sure that at least one photo shows the rolls in their entirety. You can reach me at wallpaperSLC@gmail.com and I will try and respond as soon as possible. Pictured below is an example showing the general concept of what to include in your photo submission to my email address (I substituted in gift wrap in a cropped composition):
I have confirmed I have your wallpapers with the photo(s) I sent to you. What are the next steps?
I will contact you via email about arranging payment and how you can send or give the wallpapers to me in exchange. I will reach out to the prospective seller (the individual who is reselling the wallpapers back to me) for how they would like to be paid and what method would be best for them to hand off or send the wallpapers to me.
I’m a bit confused about all of this info. Can you summarize the process for me?
If you believe that you have the wallpapers I’m searching for on-hand AND are willing to sell them back to me for a reward of $50 per wallpaper roll, please send a clear photo of the wallpaper rolls in their entirety, with the current date (MM/DD/YYYY) handwritten or typed on a piece of paper (visible in the same photo), to my email, wallpaperSLC@gmail.com. After I confirm you have the exact wallpaper rolls I’m looking for, I will email you back to discuss what method is best for me to pay you and how you will send the wallpapers back to me in exchange.
You’re searching for wallpaper. I understand lost pets, jewelry, bikes, etc. But wallpaper. Why?
I admit, there are no “ifs,” “ands,” or “buts” about it, this is a unique thing to look for. Here is my answer: The wallpapers I’m searching for have great sentimental value to me as they belonged to a family member who passed away.
